Heavenly Father, Today is Yours. We thank You for giving us this beautiful opportunity to honor the men and women who so bravely served this country in the past as well as in the present. Father we ask You to bless and strengthen those brave souls who selflessly give of themselves without asking anything in return. We ask You to heal our wounded warriors who returned home in pain after they gave their all for this great land. Bless them. Restore their souls. Heal their bodies. Bring salvation to the lost.  Father we ask You to bless the families of our military who stay behind while their loved one goes into battle. Keep them safe and provide for their needs according to Your abundance. Lord, we pray for a special blessing upon the families whose loved one gave his or her life to this country. Keep them safe and comfort their hearts.  Lord, we ask You to anoint our Chaplains and others who bring the Word to our military. Bless their ministry and bring a great harvest of souls from their efforts. Father, we ask You to forgive the sins of this nation as well as the sins of the leaders who have forgotten how to pray. Have mercy on all Americans and bring us to a state of repentance in these difficult times. We ask You to forgive our pride as a nation and deliver us from the evil that has come upon us. You alone are righteous and holy. You alone are worthy of praise. We thank You for hearing our prayer! In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

The storm rages.  Fierce wind curls around everything in its path.  Upending, tossing, rolling – until everything is uprooted from its place.  Torrential rain batters and beats down until there is nothing left standing, nor will it ever rise again.  The rumble of the thunder and crash of lightening drown out all other sound.  There is no audible voice, no sign of life, as the elements create chaos from order and autonomous movement is impossible.
But there is stillness in the midst of the storm.  Where the fierce wind cannot stir and the rain cannot batter.  Where the rolling thunder and the crack of lightening cannot drown out all other sound.  A secret place, hidden from sight, where nothing can alarm, no turmoil can touch, and no darkness invade.  It is a place of quiet rest, of tranquility and peace.
                So let the storm rage . . . I am here . . . in that secret place . . . safe . . . at rest . . . at peace . . . near to the heart of my God.

Have you seen the movie Unplanned in our local cinema?  This movie is about the true story of Abby Johnson, a Planned Parenthood director who finally realized the horrors of abortion and her change of heart.  Let’s support Joe who brought this controversial film to our town, by attending.
We are still seeking your thoughts.
          Worship   9:30 am – 10:45 am

Over the course of a few months the ladies made 20 lap quilts; 14 for Northern Michigan Hospice and 6 to send to Michael and Lupe Geiss, our missionaries in Nepal.
The lap quilts have been delivered to Northern Michigan Hospice, the six for Nepal are being made ready to ship.
The package to Nepal will be sent via a missionary couple who will be taking it with them as extra luggage.
How you can help:
1. The cost of the extra luggage is $160 (that’s a saving of $40 if it is prepaid).
2. Several small items are being sent to Michael and Lupe along with the lap quilts - estimated to cost $110.00
3. A medium sized vacuum storage bag to send the quilts.
Please see either Diane or Pam
if you have a vacuum storage bag.
We will be taking up a special offering this morning to help with the cost of the extra luggage and additional items being sent with the lap quilts.
Your help is so greatly appreciated!
Thank You!
