Unless adoption was the alternative, every Mother here today can tell you of the process of giving birth as if it was yesterday. There is something about the travail of birth that shapes a woman for life. As each woman is consciously aware of that event, so the Scriptures uses that event throughout its pages as a powerful picture not to be forgotten. On this Mothers’ day, how powerful is that picture?
