Why do each of us do what we do every day?  What is the motive or motivation to get up and keep doing what we have always done?  For some it just might be that’s what I must do, I have no other choice.  For others it could be that it is the right thing to do.  Still some may be doing to get to something better.  There may be some who do because it looks good to others.  Others may be motivated by a shear love for what they are doing.  For many it could be a combination of the above.  Today we are confronted by Jesus’ teaching on why we are worshipping.

                 B. Praying – as relating to God
                   C. Fasting – as relating to ourselves
III. The Principles
               A. Secrecy
                 B. Hypocrisy
                   C. Reward

Big Idea:
Secrecy will produce sincerity
which will be rewarded by Sovereignty.
