I go to church, I read the Bible. I get spiritually fed. But what do I do with my leftovers? Do I share it with those in the world who need Jesus? Do I reach out without fear of being rejected? Do I see the people of this world in need of a Savior? Am I willing to give them my leftovers? God sent Michael James, Sr., Alabama preacher, into my life to help me see that I have been hoarding my leftovers. Leftovers that are so desperately needed in this lost and dying world. Leftovers that would feed those who are hungry. Leftovers that God does not want me to keep to myself, but to give away to those I might meet. To be willing to strike up a conversation and ask them if they believe in God – and give them my leftovers so that they too, can be filled. So as I feast on God’s Word I will be sure to drink deeply so that I have plenty of leftovers to share. --- L. A. Benak |
